2014 Glass City Marathon
PRIZE MONEY AWARDS
$6,500 will be distributed to the top 5 runners overall and the overall runner in the masters division. Each overall cash winner will also receive a Glass City Marathon Jacket.
Prize money awards are equal for men and women.
Prize money distribution is based upon gun time results for overall and masters division.
A review of the results will occur prior to prize money disbursements.
Decisions of the race referee and jury of appeal are final and cannot be contested.
Masters division competitors are defined as 40 years old and older.
Masters division runners are NOT eligible for both overall prize money awards and masters division prize money awards. If a masters division runner qualifies for both, he or she will receive the greater of the two amounts.
Handcycle participants are not eligible to receive awards in the push rim wheelchair division.
Additional Marathon Prize Incentives
First male to break race record of 2:21:20 (Gaynor, 2013) wins an additional $500
First female to break race record of 2:51:52 (Odorcic, 2012) wins an additional $500
AGE GROUP AWARDS
The top five overall finishers and top three push rim wheelchair division finishers, along with the first, second and third place finishers in the following age groups for both men and women will receive awards:
16-19 years old;
20-24 years old;
25-29 years old;
30-34 years old;
35-39 years old;
40-44 years old;
45-49 years old;
50-54 years old;
55-59 years old;
60-64 years old;
65-69 years old;
70-74 years old;
75-79 years old;
80 years old and older.
