GLASS CITY MARATHON DESIGNATED AS THE ROADRUNNER CLUB OF AMERICA’S 2022 CENTRAL REGION CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT
Toledo, Ohio — January 25, 2022: The Roadrunners Club of America (RRCA) has designated the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon (GCM) as its Central Region Championship event for the 45th running on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
The RRCA Championship Event Series is the largest grassroots-organized running series in the U.S. with over 200 races participating that attract nearly 300,000 participants. RRCA Championship Events are designated annually at the State, Regional, and National level through a competitive bidding process.
The goal of the RRCA Championship Event Series is to celebrate and shine a spotlight on well-run, community-focused events and to award their top performing runners.

The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon is the Toledo Roadrunners Club’s (TRRC) premier springtime event, first run in 1971. TRRC is a nonprofit club, founded in 1976, and open to anyone with an interest in jogging and/or running, regardless of gender, race, religion, age or ability. Whether you are a fitness jogger, fun runner, competitive runner, or a combination of all three, you are invited to join TRRC.
