The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon (GCM) course will begin on Bancroft St. near the University of Toledo North Tower. It will circle campus past Ottawa Park before continuing West into beautiful Ottawa Hills. Heading north into the quiet neighborhood of Ottawa Hills, the course leads you to the area’s finest Metroparks system utilizing the University Parks bike Trail. A tour through Sylvania leads you back to Wildwood Metropark and down the bike trail to a short tour of the UT campus, concluding with the finish on the field inside the Glass Bowl stadium. This course has little elevation changes, smooth paved roads, and annually posts top 25 in the USA race times and a memorable experience for everyone running.
Mercy Health Glass City Marathon is a USA Track & Field Sanctioned Event — Allowing for Olympic Trials Qualification
Course Open: 6.5 Hours *Time Limit Strictly Enforced by Local Police — SAG vehicles will be present should you be unable to meet cutoff times. There are two checkpoints along the course and you must maintain approximately a 15 minute per mile pace to complete within the 6.5 hour time limit. You will not be allowed to continue if you do not make the checkpoints in time, SAG vehicles will travel at the course closing pace and will pick up runners along the route and at aid stations, who choose to discontinue the race or fall behind pace (under none medical circumstances).

The low-low rates you've come to expect from the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon remain the same as last year. The earlier you signup to Run Glass City, the better pricing will be available. Tiered/block are in place for this year's running. Tier/block pricing rewards the earliest registrants with the best rates possible, while maintaining our extremely competitive pricing throughout the year. All events have been setup with total registrant caps on each block. Once each block sells out, subsequent tier/block prices activate automatically until the event sells out completely.

Run faster at the Toledo Roadrunners Club’s annual Mercy Health Glass City Marathon in Toledo, Ohio. A field of up to 1,800 runners will make their Destination Toledo on the fast and flat 26.2 mile, marathon course. Our springtime marathon regularly shows in the top 25 fastest races, with over a third of the field punching their ticket to run on Patriot’s Day with a Boston Marathon qualifying time. Achieved yours at the finish line inside the University of Toledo Glass Bowl Stadium. GCM is USA Track & Field Certified Course and Sanctioned Race (run an Olympic Trials Qualifying Time), the 2023 RRCA National Championship Marathon, and an Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group Qualifier — led by 2021 RRM Race Director of the Year.
