Weather Safety

ACSM Compliant — a color coded system will be used to alert you of weather conditions.

The Glass City Marathon will be held rain or shine. We work closely with our on-site Meteorologist from Channel 11 and the National Weather Service, as well as the Mercy Health Medical Director to maintain a safe environment for everyone.

Runners are advised to check WTOL 11 Weather for forecasts and our official app for notifications and to be prepared. Extra layers of clothing worn at the start may be discarded at the bag drops at each starting line. The Glass City Marathon reserves the right to cancel, delay or change the race to a non-scored run in case of extreme weather or other conditions affecting the safety of the participants.

A flag system will be used along the course (at aid stations) to alert you to weather conditions.
