Boys and Girls Club of Toledo — At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, we have a bold vision: that success is within the reach of every child. We believe every girl and boy deserves a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals; life-enhancing programs, character development experiences, and hope and opportunity for the future.

Camp Kesem operates free summer camps for children who have been impacted by a parent’s cancer.

Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio — At Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio, Inc., we believe no individual with cancer should have to take the journey alone. We provide connections to vital resources, give hands-on support, and organize unique and meaningful programming for patients and their families in our community. We strive to meet the needs of the whole person—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and focus on caring for the hearts and minds of those individuals impacted by cancer. Our services are available for free for any person of any age with any cancer, from newborn to adult.

Children’s Theatre Workshop brings the joy of theatre to young people all over NW Ohio and SE Michigan. Students ages 3-18 practice acting, directing, playwriting, technical theatre, and leadership in every program at CTW. Donations from the Glass City Marathon will allow CTW to purchase royalties, costumes, scripts, and set materials for its nine productions in the 2022-2023 season, bringing the thrill of live performance to more than 450 children representing over 100 different schools in the area…

Connecting Kids To Meals provides healthy meals at no cost to at-risk kids ages 18 and under who are located in low-income and underserved areas of our community. We partner with schools, afterschool programs, community centers, libraries, emergency shelters and other places where kids gather.  We have been feeding kids for over 19 years, and just last year we provided just over 776,000 meals to kids.

Courageous Community Services — Our mission is to provide meaningful, inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities and their families through advocacy, education, and engaging recreational experiences.

The individuals with disabilities & families that CCS serves were some of the most affected during the pandemic. Isolation caused anxiety for our regular campers & the pause of camp eliminated the respite their caretakers would typically receive.
We know each summer’s camp program allows us to connect and is essential to the well-being of our community members.

Your support ensures we can offer high-quality recreation engagement. Our swimming pool needs major maintenance to reopen and remain in good repair for years to come. We need community support with this large expense.

Family & Child Abuse Prevention Center — The mission of the Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center is to intervene and educate to reduce family violence.

OUR HISTORY
The Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center was founded in 1974 by local pediatrician, Dr. Bernard Cullen, and a small group of concerned citizens, who saw first hand the devastating effects of child abuse. While child protection and law enforcement agencies have a crucial role in child protection, our founders had the foresight to see the need for additional community partners. From the compassion, dedication, and vision of this small group of people, an organization has evolved with dedicated professionals who diligently work to break the cycle of family violence. With offices in Lucas and Ottawa counties, Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center serves over 50,000 people each year.

Family House — As a non-profit agency dedicated to keeping families together in time of crisis, Family House has offered hope to families since 1985.  Family House offers a variety of programs and services that are family-centered to address the multitude of needs of each family member.

Girls on the Run of Northwest Ohio — We inspire girls throughout Northwest Ohio to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running and promotes healthy habits and encourages confidence. Your gift will provide new running shoes to girls in need so that they can complete our programs safely.

Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful envisions a world in balance. A world where everything that is created is a resource for something else, and every person takes responsibility for the resources they use, ensuring proper/sustainable disposal.

As a society our goals should not be to limit our negative impact on the environment, but to have an actual positive one. This is the only way to create a sustainable future. Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful is the local advocate for these changes. We are not alone. We work with global companies, local businesses, community organizations, and individuals to improve recycling, implement composting, eliminate litter, reduce single use plastics, and make other “green” and sustainable
decisions.

We estimate that we annually impact the recycling of:

  • 756 Tons of Aluminum
  • 1583 Tons of Glass
  • 2646 Tons of Plastic
  • 1886 Tons of Paper

This means for every $10 donated we save:

  • 11 Gallons of Oil
  • 80 Hours of Electricity
  • 130 Gallons of Water
  • 1⁄2 a Tree
